"This Old House"

For a long time now I've dreamt of buying an old country home and fixing it up.  I love the character that old homes have.  There's just nothing better than front porches, dormer windows, sprawling land and no Home Owner's Association telling you what you can and more importantly CAN'T do.  Read about my past experience HERE.

Everyday I pass this old house on my way to and from work and church, and almost every time I see it I think about how it has so much potential.

Granted, most would say, the location isn't the best and the yard is a mess and it looks like it's not far away from falling in completely.  However, I see something beautiful. I even like it so much I wouldn't be opposed to moving it to another location.  So you don't think I've completely lost it, in my head it looks a lot like this...

I know everyone has their opinion on "old" vs "new", but  I'm definitely on Team Old.  I know, it comes with a million potential issues, but there's something so rewarding about taking your time and restoring something back to its original glory or beyond.  Not to mention, there are so many great examples out there...

I figure if they can do it, so can I!
So, if you're ever driving down the road and you pass a wide load trailer transporting an old farmhouse, it may just be mine.

You should also know that many projects need to be in line with city codes before being built.
