Hey! Hey! Hey! It's been non-stop since the new year began and I'm not complaining because some wonderful opportunities have come my way. In fact, as I look back over the past six years, I'm astounded by all of the great things that have happened. If you think about it, it's been pretty unbelievable.
Today, I'm sharing my latest adventure in design with you guys, as I've decided to share it here first! Back in January I was presented with an opportunity to participate in my very first Designer Show House! In case you're wondering, a show house is typically a fund-raising project for a charity or non-profit group where a home is designed and decorated and then opened to the public for viewing. I'll be participating in the Hillside Designer Show House sponsored by Southern Home Magazine and benefiting Preservation Greensboro. You may recall me blogging about my trip to the Traditional Home Show House in Dallas last fall. The idea is the same. A beautiful home, a group of designers, awesome sponsors and stunning results!

A little history, the Julian Price house is a historic 20th century English Tudor, that was originally built in 1929 for Julian Price, president of Jefferson Standard Life Insurance (today known as Lincoln Financial), by the famed architect Charles Hartmann. Later, a notable NC Interior Designer, Sandra Cowart became the owner and sadly developed a hoarding problem. Current owners, Michael and Eric Fuko-Rizzo reached out to Sandra as the banks were harassing her during foreclosure and helped her get out of the house. The home aired as the season finale of Hoarders in January.

It may not look like much now, but we've got big plans for these spaces. Here's a little peek at where I'm heading with the space...
I'm super excited to see it all come together. If you're interested, there's a Meet the Designer night on March 1st and tickets go on sale soon!!
