Master Bathroom Refresh Reveal

One of my first clients asked if I would help update their master bathroom. They were looking for something light and spa-like, but really wanted to incorporate turquoise in the color scheme.  It sounded like a bit of a challenge, but I was up for it.  I knew that this would not be a complete overhaul, as their existing decor was completely fine.  However, they wanted something that was a little bit of a departure from their typical fare.

The existing decor was a bit dark, so we freshened it up a bit with the addition of fresh white towels and accessories.  Quality white towels are a quick and easy way to give any bathroom that spa feel.  You'll notice that my original idea board included coral, but the homeowner wasn't a fan.  I realizing that you can't win 'em all.  Lol!

I was able to bring in the turquoise the homeowner wanted by replacing the existing vanity bench with a turquoise one.   I also added sisal area rugs to add a little texture underfoot.

 

I've also been dying to do a coastal makeover, and while that wasn't what these homeowners wanted, I couldn't resist adding a couple of seascape touches.  I'm still looking for takers on the coastal room makeover.

They are pretty big collectors of art and there were a couple of pieces that were sentimental that they wanted to include in the bathroom.  Lucky for me they tied in perfectly with the coastal accessories.

I will say the biggest challenge here was tying in the turquoise while keeping things light and airy.

I know it's not a huge dramatic makeover, but sometimes they aren't.  Every now and then you run into a client who already has many of the elements needed for a fabulous space, they just need a little help pulling it all together.  In the end, I think they were pleased and that's what's most important.  If they like it, I love it.
