"Why I Love Gardening: Reason #2"

Well, it's mid-July and this is the time of the year when I usually fall off in the gardening department.  Let's just say me and heat are NOT friends. But, before I throw in the towel completely I reap the benefits of a plentiful harvest. 

Just a couple of months ago I had this...

They were literally...

And now, I have this...

I know, it's a little jungle-like, but as long as it keeps giving me these....

Mint, Chives and Parsley

So I can continue to make these.....

I'm fine with it.

Besides the bountiful harvest, the other great thing about gardening is that everything seems to have it's turn.  And right now, it's Black-eyed Susan's time to shine.

Next up, the Mexican Sunflower!
