If you've perused the site you've probably seen the pictures in my portfolio, but what you haven't seen is where those projects began. My very first project began with a non-functional room that the homeowner wanted to use as a quite serene prayer room that could double as a bedroom for the granddaughter.
Here's where we began. Sorry for the fuzzy cell photos, I forgot the camera; rookie mistake.
The client had a house full of furniture and accessories so it really was just a matter of bringing it all together. I have to admit that as a newbie, I broke one of the cardinal rules of home decorating for clients; I put together a plan before meeting with the client.
This is a draft of what I took to our initial meeting....
Big mistake. After meeting with the client and being informed that an all white room was what was hoped for, I went back to the drawing board and came up with this idea board (my very first).
Client Idea Board Which turned into this.... |
And, when it was all said and done, this was the finished product.
