"Key West Color"

I'm just returning from a fab extended weekend trip to Key West, Florida and if you know anything about the destination, you know that it's know for it's color and vibrancy.

It was actually perfect timing because I had just attended my first class of the semester, Color Theory.  My professor asked us to conscientiously become more aware of color around us.  This was, without a doubt, the perfect place to do just that.  You can't help but be awed by the beautiful blue skies, bright colored doors and storefronts and the crystal blue-green waters. 

This was the view from my balcony.  Seriously.

 

And this was sunset....

 

Paradise. 

I was in total relaxation mode. I was able to do a little shopping and I picked up these two colorful prints that are inspiring my home office makeover I have on tap for later this year. 

I'm going light and bright with bold hits of color.  Similar to this inspiration room....

I have to admit, it was difficult to leave, but so nice to get away to enjoy these last few days of Summer.
