My recent client project included not only updating a spacious guest bedroom, but that bedroom featured an ensuite bath that was also in need of a little modernization.
As in most cases, the first order of business was paint. As mentioned in the bedroom reveal post, nothing can age a room like an era-specific paint color. The bath was painted in a dark hunter green and we needed to freshen things up with a softer color scheme.
I opted to continue with the soft gray used in the attached bedroom for continuity between the two spaces. It was also a great color that would provide some flexibility in terms of décor down the road.
Once again, I'm amazed at how much change can be achieved with so little investment. If you follow me on Instagram, you may recall this picture I snapped at the monthly Metrolina Antiques and Collectibles show.
At the time, I wasn't sure what I'd do with the wood pieces, but I really liked the look and liked the price even more. With the addition of some vintage faucet fixtures and a little paint, it became the perfect place to hang bath essentials.
I really love how this project turned out. I think it's the perfect fresh, inviting and relaxing space for guest to enjoy for years to come.
