"Nursery Reveal!"

To say that my friend Stacey and I go way back is a gross understatement.

We were friends before I could even spell f-r-i-e-n-d-s.  So, getting the opportunity to decorate her twin's nursery was a huge honor.

The room we were working with was the guest room and was beautiful already.  I know because I've spent quite a few nights in the luxury accomodations. (Sorry, wasn't able to get pictures with it all dolled up.)

Stacey and her husband Brian's style is very modern and very chic, a bit of a departure for me.  You may recall me showing you the direction we were moving in this post.  I was more than a little excited to get to use a yellow and grey color scheme.

This install was a little hectic because, for starters it wasn't local.  Then, the nursery was on the third floor.  (My calf muscles are still burning!)  And, I scheduled the photo shoot for the same day.  I joked with my assistant (for the day) Yolanda, that it's all fun and games on HGTV, but in real life this is hard work.

Ok, maybe not evident in the picture.  Nevertheless, hope you enjoy the fruit of the labor.....

Special thanks to Erin Leport for the cute silhouettes

Congratulations Stacey and Brian!!!

This room is awesome! I think my favorite part is the two prints with the words from "You are my Sunshine." My Dad sang that song to me my entire childhood :-)

Too funny. Glad you like! My Dad sang, "Goodnight Sweetheart".

I agree with what everyone else said but would add this. I'm so glad it is not pink or blue with some of the what I think is "goofy" baby decorations. You can tell I don't have kids!. This is one classy nursery

Another wonderful job! I think you did a fantastic modern take with the nursery. I've grown a bit tired of some of the traditional colors myself. Bravo!

Where are the curtains from?

Dwell by Cheryl said... Reply To This Comment

@rsavage the homeowner purchased them. They were the exsiting drapes prior to the rooms conversion to a nursery. Sorry.
