Best of Houzz 2015

Last week, a design friend of mine posted on social media that she'd been awarded a 2015 Best of Houzz award.  Honestly, I'd completely forgotten that it was even that time of year.  I immediately popped over to Houzz to check to see if my profile page had been updated with the same distinction.  A little trick I learned last year after waiting days to receive the email announcement.

Guess what?

IT DID!  I can't tell you how honored I am to receive this award for the third year in a row for both design and customer satisfaction.  Wow!

Here's how it works.  When the more than 25 million monthly Houzz users click to add a photo to an ideabook, they're essentially voting for the "Best of" design awards for the following year.  The professionals with the most popular of those photos — the most added to user ideabooks — earn a Best of Houzz badge that they can display on their profile pages. When users see a badge on a professional’s profile page, that means one of his or her designs generated a lot of buzz in the Houzz community last year.

In addition to design badges, professionals also earn badges for customer service, determined by a variety of factors, including the amount and quality of client reviews received during the year.

It's such an honor to be recognized along side SO MANY talented designers.  I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love to do, even if just part-time and it's all the more rewarding to be recognized for my efforts.

My awesome web designers have already updated my site, and I have to admit that those six icons make me very, very happy.
