"Living Room Updates"



Recently, I shared with you all my living room updates.  I also mentioned that I was going to have new pillows made that would work a little better with my slipcover than the old red ones that came with the sofa. 

I'm happy to report that I picked them up this week and I couldn't be more happy with the result.

The red print is so much more "happy" than the red suede ones.  I think it gives the room a more youthful vibe.

Coincidentally, this week I also ran into this beauty on Craigslist.

I wasn't quite sure of the color, (you can never tell on a website) so I went to check it out.  Lucky for me (and the seller), it was even more lovely in person.

And a perfect match to my new pillows.  I had to steal these from the sofa so I'm going to have two more made. Actually I'm going a little smaller on the red one and I'm going to replace the beige with a green velvet one on the sofa.

I've been looking for the right chair for this space for several months now.  I had pretty much accepted the fact that I was going to have find something and have it reupholstered, which can get pretty costly.  So, needless to say I was THRILLED to find this.

Just wanted to keep you up to date on what's happening at the Dwell by Cheryl headquarters.  I'll share so final photos when the additional pillow are complete.  And don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the Christmas decor either.  I'll be revealing tree #2 early in the week. So much to blog about these days.
