"Julian Price Showhouse Project Reveal"

What a year 2018 has already proven to be.  I'm so excited to reveal our Julian Price Showhouse (sponsored by Southern Home and Preservaton Greensboro) project to you today.

It has been one of the most exciting and rewarding projects of my brief career in design.  You can read all about how I got involved on my previous blog, An Amazing Opportunity.

We were tasked with tackling the master dressing room and closet so let's start with the initial plan.  It all began here.

We knew we wanted to go dark to create a moody and masculine feel in the light-filled dressing room that was previously a sunroom off the original master bedroom.  California Closets already had an existing storage plan for both the closet and dressing areas when I signed on.  I just needed to select a countertop for the cashmere finished island and make the room beautiful.  A rich Brentwood Textiles plaid became the jumping off point for the entire design.  It was the perfect mix of buttoned-up fomality and a bit of fun.  With the vibe, color scheme and inspiration selected, we layered other cooridnating textiles from there.

With some additonal planning the vision became a little clearer and we got to work pulling it all together.  It's actually sort of amazing to remember how the space looked when I first saw it back in January.

Even then I could see the potential.  Here's a look at the finished space.

Next on the agenda was the open space opposite the master bathroom which had been designated as the closet.

We began with a blank slate and started by upholstering the back wall of the space with a popular blue/gray performance fabric by Revolution.

As always, Baity's Custom Upholstery did a beautiful job.  The quatrefoil design was inspired by the same detail on the facade on the back side of the home and I love the new use we found for Revolution Performance Fabric.  It looks as beautiful on the walls as it does on furniture.

We pulled the rich blue wall color from the dressing area to the ceiling in this area and continued the color scheme and classic (with a touch of modern) vibe in this adjacent space.  With the closet system in, the stage was set for the finishing touches, which in this case meant Lillian Tony's amazing clothing and footwear.

As a self-professed girly-girl, I had to dig deep on this one. What a fun space this was to design!  I had a blast bringing it all together and I'm so happy to report that the homeowner's Michael and Eric LOVE it!

I'm so very grateful to Southern Home and Preservation Greensboro for this opportunity.  I've made a host of new (talented) design friends and connections that I know will last a lifetime.

Here's a little walk through my partner's from Revolution Peformance Fabrics put together.  Enjoy!

There's still a little time left to check out the home.  Head over to www.julianpricehouse.com for more info!
