"Inviting Eat-In Kitchen Reveal: Part 3"

I'm back today with the final portion of my latest client project reveal.  This space was literally a project add on.  We'd originally intended to just tackle the living room and the formal dining room, but the client asked that I put together a plan for the eat-in kitchen as well, just so they could see.  Here's what I presented.

I had a feeling that once they were given a vision for their underutilized space, they'd want to add it onto the project.  Guess what, I was right.  Our plan was to warm up the space with a cozy banquette and potentially a fireplace.

The space just wouldn't allow for a fireplace and banquettes can be pretty expensive, so we opted to transform a vintage settee into a functional yet cozy and custom piece for the eating area.  I found this lovely on Craigslist and knew it would be perfect.

Because of it's traditional lines, I chose to jazz it up a bit with a playful contrasting welt in orange.

And because I'm addicted to tufting, we HAD to tuft the back.

As usual Baity's Custom Upholstery knocked it out of the park.

I loved how cozy this arrangement and furniture feels in this space.  This one piece of furniture change everything!  Honestly, I didn't want to leave.  It's the perfect place for a cup of coffee and a pastry.

I'll be over on the Habitat ReStore blog later this week sharing details about the light fixture in this space.  Until then, let me know what you think.  I'd love to hear from you.

Have a great day!

I LOVE IT! I would love to have a banquette in my kitchen. I don't have the room for one unfortunately! Its so cozy and sophisticated all at the same time. Nicely done! Isn't it fantastic to have an upholsterer who can bring your dreams to life? I know you love it! So happy for you! All the best!
