Sorry for the radio silence this week. I've been knee deep in projects around the house. I'm convinced that I attempt to cram way too much into 24 hours. Between repainting my office, working on the patio and gardening, it's been a pretty crazy week.
I did have a chance to run out during lunch on Wednesday to one of the local thrift stores. Every last Wednesday of the month they have 50% off the entire store, so it was worth it to stop by. I'm so glad I did, because today I have the Friday Find to end all Friday Finds.
After spending about 20 minutes or so scoping out the home goods section I ended up with two floral picture frames an awesome pharmacy floor lamp and a pretty cool faux bamboo ceramic lamp. Best of all, I only spent $13.00!
One of my favorite things to do after thrifting is to research the cool finds on the web. There's something thrilling about knowing you've purchased something worth more than you paid for it. Imagine my surprise when a Google search yielded this...
Say what? I almost choked on my lunch. It was my lamp!!
Yep, the lamp I'd just paid $4.00 for was selling for $1125 on 1st Dibbs. UNREAL! Now I know, some of you would immediately try to sell it, but I think it's way more fun to keep some of the good stuff for yourself.
Not to mention the faux bamboo pairs so well with my wall stencil. I couldn't get home fast enough to ditch my quite lovely Pottery Barn gourd lamp for this valuable vintage stunner.
It makes me smile every time I pass it.
