Design Bloggers Conf Recap Part I

I'mmmmmmmm back!  I had such an awesome time at the Design Bloggers Conference.

The absolutely best thing about the conference was getting to see so many designers/bloggers that I connected with at last year's conference....
Amy Lambert Lee of The House of Wentworth

Amy was one of two people that I knew from social media at last year's conference.  When I arrived in LA, I was nervous and she greeted me like we were old friends.  Her welcome completely put me at ease.  Love her for that.
Ruthie of DecRenew Inteiors
Ruthie is my ace!  She's one of those people that I KNOW God strategically placed in my life.  You'll be hearing more from her later.  Such a sweet, encouraging, and talented woman of God.

These ladies are so fun.  I met them last year and they were just as sassy as ever.

Catherine of Bespoke Banter and Holly of The English Room
These are my Charlotte peeps. It's always great to connect with the homies.  Holly and Catherine are so cool, but we've got to do better at getting together more often.
Stacy of Stacy Style

I'm such a big fan of Stacy.  She's the brainchild behind Dunes and Duchess and the face behind so many of the beautifully styled photos we see in design books and magazines.  She's a genius and so very down to earth.  The fact that she even knows who I am is astounding and her words of encouragement meant so much.

I also loved getting to finally meet so many that I feel I know so well from social media.

Jennifer Boles author of my FAV design book "In with the Old"
and The Peak of Chic blog
I tried not to be a stalker, but I absolutely love Jennifer.  She's so knowledgeable and classy and so down to earth.  I enjoyed getting to meet her after she commented on my Instagram post on Christmas day when I received her book as a gift.  She promised to sign it and she delivered.

Karen LeBlanc, star of The Design Network's The Design Tourist
This chic is so fab.  She hosts her own show on TDN and encouraged me to get involved more in media.  Hmmmm..

It was awesome getting to meet so many of my social media buddies.  When you live your life connected to these talented ladies (even if on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook), you really do feel like you know them.

Southern Rhoda of Southern Hospitality Blog

Shelly of Confetti Style

Samantha of Heels and a Hammer

Kristen of The Hunted Interior and Soror Erika Ward
of BluLabel Bungalow
Dorothy Burke
And these were my ride or dies last week....
and Arianne (Inspired to Style)

The conference line up did not disappoint this year either, but I'll tell you a little more about that later.

I'm so blessed to have opportunities like this, to grow as a designer and to be inspired by so many who have seen such success in the world of design.  To be among such talent is truly a humbling experience.  It makes me so very excited about what the future holds.

I missed you guys.  Hope you had a great week too!
