"Client Guest Bedroom Before and After Reveal"

Today I'm excited to be revealing a value engineered client guest bedroom (and later bath) project that I recently completed.  This project is, yet again, proof positive that it doesn't always take a lot of money to make a BIG impact.

If you recall, we began with this plan for a Neo-Traditional guest bedroom, and here's where we ended up....

One of the easiest ways to update a dated space is to freshen things up with a more modern paint color.  Some wall colors just naturally scream an era gone by, but with a new color palate, you can often keep existing furnishings and simply add in updated accent pieces and fabrics for a totally new look.  Such was the case with this project.  Check out the before and afters and see for yourself.

I actually love the challenge of updating a space on a very limited budget.  The impact you can make if you spend wisely sometimes  actually surprises even me.  We wanted to create a tranquil retreat for the client's overnight guests and I think we achieved just that.  The major elements were 1.) Paint.  In this case...

2.) Seating.  I firmly believe that every bedrooms needs a place for you to plop down.
3.) Bedside storage. We achieved this with the addition of two nightstands.
4.) Updated bedding. A simple duvet with custom throw pillows and Euro shams finish things off beautifully.

Simple changes that resulted in a HUGE impact. I'm so pleased with the results.  Here are a few additional shots of the space.

I'll hope to reveal the adjoining bath later in the week.  I'm actually on vacation this week, and I desperately need to unplug, but we'll see how that goes.  Have a great week!!

Special thanks to Camilo Richards of Cam Richards Photography for his great work.
