"Trophy Coat Rack DIY"

You may be surprised to know that I'm not a big DIYer.  Sure, I'll paint a lamp or repurpose something here or there, but in general big DIY projects are just not my thing.  Basically, you're likely to lose me at "skill saw" or "miter box".  However, I'm finding that the best way to stretch the budget is with DIY projects.  So, I'm trying to get better at seeing larger projects as doable.  But truthfully, for the time being I'll probably stick to the easy ones.

As I was working on a client project this summer, I stumbled upon this great idea on Design Sponge for old trophies.  It was right on time because the client's kids had more than a few of them.   I figured this one looked easy enough.  I purchased a finished (lucky me) piece of wood from the "As Is" section in Ikea for next to nothing.  After unscrewing the trophies from their base, all I needed was a hole to screw them into the wood and viola!

Colleen does a much better job of the instructions than I do, so click HERE to read the real how to.
