"Hooked on Houzz"

It's official, I'm addicted to Houzz. What is Houzz you ask?

"Houzz is the leading online platform for home remodeling and design, providing people with everything they need to improve their homes from start to finish - online or from a mobile device. With the largest residential design database in the world and a vibrant community powered by social tools, Houzz is the easiest way for people to get the design inspiration, project advice, product information and professional reviews they need to help turn ideas into reality." - Houzz

Simply put, Houzz is like a huge design magazine without the advertisements.  It's like the Pinterest of interior design. I had someone tell me recently, "...it's like dessert".   I couldn't agree more.  The app is fantastic for seamlessly swiping through hundreds of thousands of beautifully designed spaces.  It is, without a doubt, my go to source for design inspiration.

For instance, this..

and this.....

helped inspire this....

Designers upload their finished spaces and users can create ideabooks using the endless database of wonderful designs.  I also love it, because it is a means for feedback on which of my projects people like the most.

It's also super easy to use.  For example, a simple search of the word "green" yields designs like these...

Tobi Fairley

Viscusi Elson Interior Design
Kelly Berg

Simply divine.

I'm also finding that it's been the site that has provided me with the greatest exposure to new clients and other wonderful opportunities.

Now I know, you're probably thinking, "Oh no, not another social media site."  But I urge you, if you're looking to remodel, get inspired or just spruce up your space, check out Houzz.  And since you'll be there, you might as well check me out (and follow me) while you're at it.  Lol!  Happy Monday!

Cheryl, how do you decorate for fall and it look natural without A. Having to buy all new decor (from wall art to pillows) or B. putting out a piece and it looking random? Any recommendation?

Hmmm... Sounds like a Tell Dwell Tuesday inquiry.
